Hunt Rules

1. No smoking, vaping or alcoholic beverages of any kind are allowed in the park.
2. Headphones or earbuds are required during all hunts.
3. NO PULSE DETECTORS or PULSE PINPOINTERS will be permitted. 
4. Use a single frequency setting on all multi-frequency metal detectors.
5. NO SIDE HIP BASKETS. Pouches or aprons to hold finds must have a solid lining.
6. ONLY HAND DIGGERS ALLOWED. NO SHOVELS OR BIG DIGGERS ALLOWED in the park. All targets will be scattered in the fallen leaves and grassy area, so digging is not necessary.
7. No one will be permitted in the hunt area without a detector, headphones and official hunt wristband.
8. Only registered detectorists may hunt. No sharing permitted.
9. There is NO RAIN DATE. Please bring proper attire.
10. Remove all trash from the field.
11. Anyone not following good metal detecting practices will be disqualified without refund.
12. Decisions of the Hunt Masters are final.
13. Please bring a chair.

NO REFUNDS FOR CANCELATIONS because prizes need to be purchased in advance, however, a credit towards a hunt in 2026 will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

DSMDC is not responsible for any lost or stolen personal property. Also, I/we understand the rules and information provided in this flyer. My/our signature(s) also give(s) permission to post on social media or marketing materials of DSMDC or prize donors any photographs of me/us taken at the hunt.
